Custom Food Grade Paper Tubes That Sell Your Product
Your food deserves packaging that looks valuable before the customer even opens it. At Custom Boxes Lab, we manufacture custom Food Grade Paper Tubes that combine dependable structure, attractive presentation, and practical product containment. Their round shape creates a distinctive shelf profile, while the printable exterior gives your brand a complete surface for logos, colors, ingredients, instructions, and promotional messaging.
We tailor every tube around your product, portion size, branding direction, and intended use. Whether you sell loose-leaf tea, roasted coffee, cookies, candy, nuts, spices, drink mixes, protein powder, or another suitable dry food, our team can develop packaging that feels made for the product rather than selected from a generic stock range.
Materials Selected for Food Packaging Performance
Our food packaging tubes can be produced with rigid paperboard cores and kraft, white, or premium printed paper wraps. Depending on the food, storage conditions, and required barrier performance, we can also discuss compatible inner liner options such as grease-resistant paper, wax-coated paper, PE-coated paper, or foil-based lining. Closures may include paperboard ends, fitted lids, metal ends, or other configurations selected according to your packaging goals.
Because every edible product has different requirements, material suitability should be confirmed for the exact contents, filling process, shelf-life target, and market regulations. Our packaging specialists help you select a practical structure instead of adding unnecessary components that increase cost without improving the final result.
Designed to Build Recognition and Encourage Sales
Our custom printed food tubes turn packaging into a strong retail asset. The cylindrical format creates visual separation from ordinary cartons and pouches, helping your product appear giftable, organized, and premium in stores, online listings, and curated product displays. We can print clean minimalist branding, bold product graphics, flavor-based color systems, or complete retail information across the outer wrap.
- Custom diameter and height for your product quantity
- Full-color printing and branded outer wraps
- Matte, gloss, soft-touch, foil, or embossed finishes
- Optional liners and closures based on product needs
- Consistent construction for retail display and shipping
Packaging for Growing and Established Food Brands
We create Food Grade Paper Tubes for product launches, seasonal collections, subscription boxes, gift sets, retail displays, and ongoing wholesale supply. Custom sizing helps reduce empty space, while coordinated graphics make different flavors or product varieties easier to recognize as one collection. The tube can also remain useful after opening, giving customers a convenient way to store the product and keeping your branding visible for longer.

When measuring a custom box, there are a few technical specifications that must be considered to ensure proper design, manufacturing, and fit for the product. Here are the major technical things to measure a custom box:
Inside Dimensions (Critical for Product Fit)
- Length (L): The longest side of the box measured inside from one corner to the opposite corner.
- Width (W): The shorter side of the box measured inside perpendicular to the length.
- Depth/Height (D or H): Measured inside from the bottom to the top opening of the box. Always specify that dimensions are given in Length × Width × Height.
Outside Dimensions (Important for Shipping & Storage)
- Measure the outer surfaces of the box including material thickness.
- Outside measurements are used for pallet stacking, warehouse spacing, and shipping compliance.
Material Thickness (Board Caliper)
- The thickness of the packaging material (e.g., corrugated board, rigid stock, cardstock).
- Impacts both the internal usable space and external dimensions.
Flap Measurements
- For boxes with flaps (e.g., mailer or shipping boxes), measure:
- Inner flaps: Ensure they meet in the middle without overlapping too much.
- Outer flaps: Allow proper sealing without gaps.
Tolerances
- Account for manufacturing tolerances (usually ±1/16" or ±2mm depending on material).
- Ensure the product fits without being too tight or loose.
Volume Capacity
- Calculate internal cubic capacity (L × W × H).
- Helps in determining how much space the product will occupy and shipping efficiency.
Product Orientation
- Decide how the product sits inside the box and measure accordingly.
- Orientation affects whether length or width is the primary dimension.
Die-Cut Openings or Windows
- Measure exact placement, height, and width for any cutouts.
- Ensure structural integrity when adding windows.
Printing Bleed & Safe Zones
- Include measurements for:
- Bleed area: Extra space beyond the cut line for printing.
- Safe zone: Inner area where critical text or logos should be placed.
Closure Type & Locking Tabs
- Measure slots, tabs, or locks for boxes with custom closures.
- Precision is required to avoid misalignment during assembly.
Packaging Style
- Folds, creases, and scores must be measured for accurate dieline creation.
- Different styles (e.g., RSC, tuck-end, mailer, sleeve) require specific panel measurements.
